Egypt Stocks mostly Higher on Tuesday, EGX30 solely falls

Egypt’s stocks ended mostly higher on Wednesday with gains worth658 million Egyptian pounds (US$86 million).

The market capitalization has recorded 503.594 billion pounds during the closing session of Wednesday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 solely dropped by 0.10 percent to 8966.71 points.

EGX20 rose by 0.12 percent to 9548.66 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 boosted by 0.15 percent to 483.89 points. The price index, EGX100 increased by 0.82 percent to 1009.28 points.

Turnovers low

On Wednesday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 208.239 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 690.413 million, exchanged through 27.013 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 175 listed securities have been traded in; 75 declined, 65 advanced; while 30 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Local and Arab investors were net buyers on Wednesday getting 79.79% and 6.4% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 17.325 million and EGP 1.216 million, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, the non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers seizing 13.81% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 18.541 million, excluding the deals.
