Five workers were killed Saturday and seven others injured in a boiler explosion inside a factory in Egypt’s Qaliyoubiya governorate, Al-Ahram arabic news website reported.
A police conscript was among the injured, according to initial investigations reported by Al-Ahram.
15 firetrucks headed to the site of the incident.
Governor of Qalyoubiya Mohamed Abdel-Zaher gave orders to compensate families of the dead victims LE 5,000.
In a similar accident last week, also in Qalyoubia, 25 Egyptian workers were killed and 22 others injured in a furniture factory fire in the city of Obour.
