Egypt’s QIZ exports to United States hit $421.5mn in 7 months

Egypt’s ready-made garments exports to the United States, upon the Qualifying Industrial Zone Protocol (QIZ), recorded 3.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$421.5 million) in the first seven months of 2015.

Mohamed Kassem – Chairman of Ready-made Garments Exports Council (RMGEC) – told Amwal Al Ghad Tuesday that the council plans to boost the country’s QIZ ready-made garments to the United States in the coming period.

The council is preparing for a business delegation to the United States next October for a four-day visit and with a participation of at least 20 firms, Kassem said.
