Egyptian furniture exports rose by 11 percent in January-May 2016 to 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$146.3 million) opposed to 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds at the same period of 2015.
According to the latest report of General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) released Wednesday, the largest importing markets of Egyptian furniture is the Saudi one with imports of 419 million pounds followed by UAE (189 million pounds).
Following Saudi Arabia, Jordan imports of Egyptian furniture recorded around 113 million pounds followed by Iraq whose imports reached 99 million, then Qatar with imports estimated at 90 million.
