Egyptian airline EgyptAir operates 18 flights to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to transport 4,200 pilgrims to Jeddah and Medina for Hajj pilgrimage.
Chairman Sherif Ezzat stated that EgyptAir is set to operate 16 flights to Jeddah and two flights to Medina from Cairo International Airport.
Ezzat noted that three out of the 18 flights are set to transport pilgrims from Palestine in addition to one flight from Aswan governorate to transport 260 pilgrims.
Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, and a mandatory religious duty for Muslims.
