State airline EgyptAir has passed an inspection by the U.S. Transport Security Administration (TSA), whose team of inspectors visited Cairo for three days, chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, Safwat Mosallam announced Sunday.
The inspectors reviewed security procedures applied on the flights operated between Cairo and New York, mainly operated by the national carrier.
Mosallam said the team of inspectors had checked all procedures the carrier applies during its daily service to New York. “This included passengers, luggage, and cabin security,” explained Mosallam.
The TSA inspections are done twice a year on flights between Cairo and New York.
This is the 26th time EgyptAir has passed the TSA inspection since it was first adopted in 2004.
