Swedish clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz said on Monday that sales in September went higher by 1% compared with the same month a year earlier, confirming an estimate the company reported in its third quarter report last month.
“The unseasonably warm weather in September had a very negative impact on the H&M group’s sales in the month of September,” it said.
In September last year the company reported an 11% rise in sales as weather in many of its large European markets returned to more normal conditions following an unseasonably warm August, it said at the time.
