Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority received 58 complaints against insurance companies and private insurance funds in April, compared to 73 complaints in March. 58.6% of the complaints were against property insurance companies, 25.9% of which were against life insurance companies, and 15.5% of which were against private insurance funds.
64.7% of complaints raised by insurance policy holders against property insurance companies were of supplemental vehicle insurance and 26.5% of which were of compulsory vehicle insurance.
55, or 75%, of complaints were against property insurance companies. 10, or 13.7%, complaints were against private insurance funds. 8, or 11%, of complaints were against personal insurance companies.
28 complaints were concluded in April; 32% of which were in favor of the customer, 54% of which were in favor of the company and 14% of which were dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
