Egypt’s Presidential Assistant for National and Strategic Projects Ibrahim Mahlab has inspected Tuesday Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital project in Kuwait, which reflects cooperation between the two countries.
Mahlab’s visit comes on the sidelines of Egypt’s participation in the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait. Egyptian state-run construction firm Arab Contractors carried out the hospital’s works.
As for Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Hospital, the biggest hospital in the Middle East and 6th on the world level is with a cost of KD304 million (17.71 Egyptian pounds).
The hospital is established on a total space of 720,000 square metres. More than 3,000 engineers, technicians, workers, participated in this flagship.
It includes 1168 beds, 3 helicopter airstrips, 5000 car parks, 50 ambulance vehicles, a shelter, 7 entries, 150 elevators, crisis, and accidents centres in addition to a medical mall built upon 1km, including various shops and visitors’ rooms.
