Egypt to build 15 electronics factories nationwide: minister

Egypt plans to build 15 electronics factories nationwide, its communications minister Yasser el-Kady said Sunday.

The factories will be built in “Upper and Lower Egypt regions, Borg El-Arab (in Alexandria), Sadat City (in Monufia Governorate), Beni Suef, and the mega city of the new administrative capital.” El-Kady added.

Egypt seeks to become “an export hub for various technologies in the world, including the artificial intelligence and internet of things”, the minister said.
