175.000 Pilgrims Perform Umrah in Ramadan: Tourism Ministry
A source in Tourism Minister asserted that the total reservations of Egyptian pilgrims in Ramadan amounted to 175.000 ones, and the total number of pilgrims by the end of the Umrah season will reach 845.000 ones.
The source elaborated that Umrah flights in Ramadan will be implemented till 18th of Ramadan, to Mecca and Madina Munawara, while the return flights will continue till 1st Dhu al-Qi’dah.
The source referred to the fears of accumulating the pilgrims in the airports; particularly the numbers are large this year. It is expected that many pilgrims will back early to celebrate the feast in Egypt; consequently people will accumulate in the airports.
Tourism ministry underscored informing the pilgrims to come 6 hours early before the flight, and guides should accompany the companies to finish the travel procedures.
