Smart Villages Company in Egypt has started cooperation with a group of consulting engineers for establishing a city for technology,media, and telecommunications entitled “TMT” in the area of Naour located in Oman in Jordon. The city will be built on an area owned by Jordon Telecom Group, with space of 242.000 m2. The project will need investments up to $ 500 million.
Ahmed Naim, Marketing and Sales Director at Smart Villages Company, stated that they have won a tender for launching the TMT city in Oman, adding that this city aims at managing telecommunication technology in Jordon.
He also pointed out that the company is currently competing over another tender in an Arab country, explaining that the name of the winning company will be announced next December.
Moreover, the company seeks to win a tender in an African country, stressing that Smart Village is looking forward to expand into Nile Basin countries across all Africa, in addition to Arab Spring countries.
The Smart Villages Company was founded in cooperation with the Egyptian government and the private sector for establishing a series of leading business centers on the local and regional levels. On the other hand, Smart Village is considered the largest administrative compound in Egypt, including hundreds of local and international business companies working in the fields of communications and information technology as well as financial and banking.
