Egypt’s annual non-oil exports increased by five percent in June to reach $1.905 billion, up from $1.810 billion in the same period last year, the General Organization for Export and Import Control said on Thursday.
The agricultural sector was the biggest exporter with goods worth $229 million dollars in June, up from $145 million in the same period last year. It was followed by the food sector, which had exports worth $205 million compared to $183 million in June 2018.
Ready-made clothes and electronic goods occupied the third and fourth places.
