Kuwait Fund has supported 52 projects in Egypt to the tune of $3.46 billion in agriculture, electricity, transportation, industry, and the water and sanitation sectors since the fund was established, the fund’s Director General Abdulwahab Al-Badr said on Sunday.
In a meeting held Sunday in Kuwait, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr thanked the Kuwait Fund for its support for development efforts in Egypt, especially its support for the Sinai Peninsula Development Programme.
The two sides also considered boosting the number of projects in the future, besides completing current projects in roads, ports and water resources, as a part of the current cooperation programme between Egypt and the Kuwait Fund which has been extended from 2019 to 2020 with a total fund of $1 billion.
