Egypt signed on Tuesday a $252,000 grant with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance actuarial studies on the national health and social insurance.
Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and Leila Mokaddem, AfDB’s Resident Representative for Egypt have signed the grant in Cairo.
The grant aims to support the Egyptian government’s plans to adopt an inclusive social and health insurance for all citizens, notably the most needed, a move that aims to achieve social justice, Minister Nasr told reporters.
