Afghanistan exports 296K tons of fresh fruits in 11m

Afghanistan has exported approximately 296,000 tons of fresh fruits worth more than $143 million in the past 11 months, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Spokesman Akundzada Abdul Salam Jawad announced on Sunday.

The official stated that the majority of the products were exported to Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, China, Britain, the Netherlands, the United States, France, Australia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.

In February, Jawad reported that Afghanistan exported 115,000 tons of dried fruits worth $350 million in the last 10 months, a decrease from the previous year’s $388 million in exports.
