Egypt’s gold investment fund assets hit EGP 9.28 bln by March 2026 – FRA

Egypt’s gold investment funds recorded net assets of 9.28 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of March 2026, across 289,000 accounts, the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) said on Tuesday.

Individual accounts accounted for about 72 per cent of the total, while institutional accounts made up 28 per cent, the regulator said.

Among individual investors, men represented 83 per cent of accounts and women 17 per cent. Investors aged from over 20 to 30 made up the largest share at about 39.8 per cent.

The report said the number of gold investment funds in Egypt stood at six.
