Afreximbank to establish its largest HQ at Egypt’s new capital
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) will build largest headquarters on the continent, with acquiring a 50,000 square metre land plot in Egypt’s emerging New Administrative Capital (NAC), said Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The complex will include a trade centre, a hotel, conference and exhibition halls, the statement added. The bank will also purchase six plots of land for the headquarters of the bank’s senior management, with initial investment of $32 million.
The contract was formally endorsed by Khaled Mahmoud Abbas, chairman and managing director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), and Benedict Oramah, President of Afreximbank.
