Italy’s Eni to invest $7.7bln in Egypt in next four years

Italian energy giant Eni is planning to invest $7.7 billion in Egypt during the next four years, said Egyptian Presidential spokesman Ahmad Fahmy on Sunday.

The announcement was made after the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received the company’s CEO Claudio Descalzi.

Sisi praised the huge number of activities that Eni is currently working on in Egypt.

Fahmy added that Descalzi expressed his delight to be cooperating with Egypt, as part of the close bonds between Egypt and Italy.
