Aid trucks have been stranded on Egypt’s border with Gaza as Israel resumed its attacks on Friday, Reuter reported.
According to Reuters, truck drivers said they are expecting further delays to the process.
“The bombardment has been going on since seven in the morning. There are planes and artillery and we haven’t moved,” driver Saleh Ebada told Reuters.
U.N. officials described the resumed attacks on Gaza as “catastrophic” and that the continuation of aid delivery is in doubt.
Rafah is now the only entry point for aid to reach Gaza since Israel has fully besieged the Strip almost two months ago.
International flights from all over the world have been landing at Egypt’s Al Arish airport to deliver aid through the Rafah border.
