Khalid Al Azhary, Minister of Manpower and Immigration, has opened the national seminar held by the Ministry in cooperation with the Arab Labor Organization, for considering ways to help advance the employment of youth.
Al Azhary noted that the phenomenon of unemployment that has grown among university and vocational education graduates requires improving the educational system and the vocational training in a way that can meet the needs of the job market.
He called upon pumping new investments into the national income and encouraging small, medium, micro, and integrated entreprises in order to create job opportunities for the youth.
On his part, General Director of the Arab Labor Organization emphasized that the volume of Arab manpower has reached nearly 135 million, with an annual growth of 3.7%. He added that the number of employees who have just joined the job market amounts to 4 million annually and that unemployment in Arab countries recorded 14.5%.
