Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is to visit Greece accompanied by a business delegation next month, said the secretary-general of the international economic relations at Greek ministry of foreign affairs.
This visit is dedicated to showcase investments opportunities in Egypt, the Greek official added. He referred to the multiple potentials for bilateral cooperation between Cairo and Athens in areas of services, energy, transport, logistics, and renewable energy.
The visit is organized by the Greek delegation, which is currently visiting Egypt.
Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (IBA) hold a meeting Saturday with a high-profile Greek delegation in the presence of Athens’ ambassador to Cairo, Egyptian officials, and Greece companies to discuss reviving bilateral relations between the two countries.
Hassan Elshafai, IBA’S board member, said the Greek companies in Egypt are seeking to pump more investments in Egyptian national projects.
The Delegation aims to discuss means of cooperation with the Egyptian businessmen in various investment projects in Egypt especially in the Suez Canal Axis, alongside in sectors of transportation, logistics, roads, and renewable energy.
Meanwhile, Greece’s ambassador said there 20 Greek companies operating in Egypt in various fields. He stressed the importance of boosting the value of trade exchange between Egypt and Greece.
