AOI Manufactures Egypt’s 1st Air-Conditioned Train, NAT Denies

A few days ago, the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) announced that it manufactured the first air-conditioned train for the subway by Egyptian equipment, and it supposed to be operated in the third line (Al Abbasyia-Attaba).

The AOI has elaborated that this train was manufactured and implemented by using Egyptian equipment and under the supervision of “Semaf” Company, an affiliate of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI).

On his part, Eng.Atta Abd Raboh EI Sherbiny, former chairman of the National Authority for Tunnels, has denied manufacturing a train for the subway by the AOI; elaborating that Egypt’s first international agreement of manufacturing metro inside the country was with Japan through signing a partnership contract in 2009 with Semaf Company.
