Egypt is hosting today the Arab Banking Conference 2015, with the theme of ‘Financing for Development’.
The two-day event is being held under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hisham Ramez.
The Arab Banking Conference has kicked off today with the participation of CBE Governor Hisham Ramez, United Arab Banks (UAB) Chairman Mohamed Barakat, Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby, Chairman of World Union of Arab Bankers Joseph Torbey, as well as a number of prominent bank chiefs and bankers in the Arab world.
Being taken place in Cairo, this conference will shed light on the recent economic reforms implemented in Egypt. It will also encourage Arab investments to achieve Egypt’s aspired development goals, particularly in financing SMEs that create sustainable employment opportunities and have considerable growth potentials.
