Auda: Egypt Allocates $600 mln To Staple Commodities

The Egyptian Minister of Supply, Dr Bassem Auda, has revealed the budget allocated for subsidizing the staple commodities is $ 600 million, and all these commodities will be provided to the citizens in Ramada (an Islamic month).

Auda, in his statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, explained that the commodities committee, an affiliate of the presidency, works towards accounting the staple commodities that consume, produce, and import; as the state has only 13 kinds of the commodities.

The ministry is organizing an international conference to exchange experiences between the foreign authorities so as to reactivate the role of the Foreign Trade sector in controlling the distribution of the commodities in the market.
