Belgium’s producer prices saw a decline in August 2024, with the producer price index (PPI) for industry, excluding construction, dropping by 0.3 per cent, compared to the previous month.
The decline was largely driven by a 2 per cent fall in energy prices, while total industry excluding energy saw a slight increase of 0.1 per cent.
On the domestic market, the PPI fell by 0.1 per cent, and on non-domestic markets, it dropped by 0.9 per cent. Year-on-year, the PPI decreased by 1.5 per cent, with a 1.3 per cent fall domestically and 2 per cent in non-domestic markets.
