“The stock exchanges play important role in providing new funding tools in various Arab markets and is a main pillar to achieve sustainable development,” Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr said.
The minister added on the side lines the 10th conference of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) which is held on April 23-24 that the Egyptian government is supporting the integration between the Arab stock markets.
She added that the government aims at further strengthening the stock exchanges role in backing the countries’ economies whether through signing agreements or through more partnerships.
The minister further noted that the state was keen supporting the Egyptian bourse either in its participation in the economic development or through the new amendments to the capital market law
The 10th conference of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) is organised by the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in cooperation with the AFE, is expected to bring together 16 Arab exchanges, more than 500 investment experts, and heads of investment funds from all over the world.
