Cairo reshapes Egypt-South Korea business council ahead of Sisi’s visit

Egyptian Industry Minister Tarek Qabil issued Saturday a ministerial decree to reform the Egyptian part of Egyptian-South Korean Business Council’s board of directors. The new council will be for three years.

Upon the ministerial decree, Raouf Ghabbour, Chief Executive of Egypt’s largest listed automotive assembler and distributor GB Auto, was named the head of the Egyptian part of the Egyptian- South Korean Business Council.

The reformation of the council comes in line with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s anticipated visit to South Korea during March 2-4. Sisi is expected to attend the ninth session of the Egyptian- South Korean Business Council.

The new board members of the Egyptian- South Korean Business Council (Egyptian part) also include Ahmed Heikal – Chairman of Qalaa Holdings, one of Egypt’s largest investment companies.
