Canadian housing market falls 9% in June

Canadian housing market starts in June fell by nine per cent from the previous month, with a decline in groundbreaking for multiple unit urban homes, according to data released on Tuesday by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).

The seasonally adjusted annualised rate dropped to 241,672 units from 264,929 in May, below the expected 255,000.
