CDC adds 6 new coronavirus symptoms to its official list

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has on Monday added six new symptoms of coronavirus to its website as scientists compiled more data on the virus and patients show “a wide range of symptoms.”

The previous list of coronavirus symptoms included fever, cough, and shortness of breath or breathing difficulty.

The CDC said the symptoms now also includes:

  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell

Symptoms may appear between two and 14 days after exposure to the virus, according to the CDC.
