Egyptian Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) coordinates with Trade and Industry Ministry to raise sector’s exports to US$32 billion by 2020, CEC Head Khaled Abu El Makarem stated Saturday.
The Chairman added that the total exports of chemicals and fertilizers sector to different states all over the world recorded US$19 billion in 2016.
The ministry and CEC are working on removing all obstacles that faced the exporters within the last period, Abu El Makarem pointed out during his speech in a conference on the Egyptian economy.
The strategy targets opening more Egyptian commercial services offices outside in order to promote exporting processes, the chairman added, clarifying that the strategy also aims at activating the role of Egypt’s Export Development Bank.
Moreover, the strategy eyes organising more exhibitions outside Egypt since the CEC plans to send 32 missions within 2017, Chairman Abu El Makarem said.
