Crédit Agricole Egypt’s Deposits Hit EGP 21.165 Bln At End of September

Crédit Agricole Egypt’s deposits portfolio surged by EGP 859.7 million during the first nine months of 2012, registering EGP 21.165 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 20.305 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s non-consolidated financial statements showed an increase in loans and credit facilities of EGP 1.23 billion (10.8%), registering EGP 12.579 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 11.348 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s investments in treasury bills fell by EGP 659.6 million, registering EGP 2.755 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 3.415 billion at the end of 2011.

The bank’s funds and balances held by the Central bank of Egypt (CBE) reached EGP 1.350 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 1.838 billion at the end of 2011. The bank’s balances held by other banks reached EGP 5.414 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 5.003 billion at the end of last December.

The bank’s non-consolidated financial statements showed that the bank achieved net profit of EGP 374.072 million at the end of last September, compared to EGP 242.893 million at the end of 2011.

The bank’s consolidated financial statements showed that the bank achieved net profit of EGP 371.6 million at the end of last September, compared to EGP 239.2 million at the end of September 2011.
