The set-to-be-established Damietta Furniture City is expected to participate in boosting exports of furniture sector with more than US$200million, Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister stated Monday.
Minister Tarek Qabil added that the total exports of state’s furniture sector is estimated at around US$200 million.
He made these remarks during the ceremony of inking a cooperation protocol between Egypt’s second largest state-run bank Banque Misr (BM) and Damietta Furniture City Company on financing small craftsmen.
The minister added that Damietta governorate participates with 65 percent of Egypt’s total furniture exports.
