A delegation of 19 Malaysian tourism companies will be visiting Egypt in September, chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, Samy Mahmoud announced Tuesday.
The delegation, which will also include a number of Malaysian media figures to cover the visit, is set to hold meetings with counterparts in Egypt, to discuss the situation of the country’s tourism market, Mahmoud added.
The visit is part of the Egyptian Tourism Authority’s strategy to open up new markets in East Asia including Malaysia, to relieve the negative impact of halting EgyptAir route from Kuala Lumpur, the Egyptian official said.
