Diving and marine activities in Egypt’s Red Sea cities resumed on Friday after weather improved.
The activities has been suspended on Thursday due to bad weather and rising waves in the Red Sea.
Former Head of the Red Sea’s Tourist Chamber of Diving Ashraf Saleh said that security bodies sent signals to all diving centers that weather has stabilized and the dust storm has ended.
The diving centers organized on Friday several tourist boat voyages for diving, coral reefs, and offshore islands.
Also on Friday, the sea port of Hurghada was reopened after the weather improved. Authorities had closed it on Thursday due to bad weather conditions.
Spokesperson of the Red Sea Ports Authority Malak Youssef said that movement of navigation at the port resumed after improved weather conditions and the calmness of the wind. The shipping agencies and marine units were notified.
The authority has suspended all marine activities by the boats and ships on Wednesday to preserve safety of maritime navigation.
