The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) signed a MoU with the British company Hiiroc to cooperate in reducing the emission of flare gases, according to Ministry of Petroleum statement on Saturday.
The statement added the deal targets zero-emission hydrogen project using Hiiorc’s technology for electrolysis of thermal plasma.
The MoU was signed by Magdy Galal, the executive managing director of EGAS and Tim Davis, CEO of Hiiroc.
Noteworthy that the signing ceremony came during the Decarbonisation Day event at the UN climate summit (COP27).
