Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.72 per cent to 31,060.51 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 1.11 to 3,227.55 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.32 per cent, to 8,587.11 points.
The index, EGX100 index rose by 0.46 per cent, to 11,800.69 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,289,643,985,728 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 4,682,471,273 Egyptian pounds, and 683,102,294 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 5,365,573,566 Egyptian pounds.

- Shares of United Housing & Development (UNIT.CA) jumped by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 7.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Atlas for Investment & Food Industries (AIFI.CA) soared by 19.80 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of El Kahera Housing (ELKA.CA) climbed by 19.70 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.370 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (MIPH.CA) dived by 5.51 per cent, to close at 197.190 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Taaleem Management Services (TALM.CA) sank by 4.59 per cent, to close at 10.400 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Digitize for Investment And Technology (DGTZ.CA) inched down by 4.17 per cent, to close at the price of 3.450 Egyptian pounds a share.
