Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Tuesday.
The main index, EGX30 went down by 1.14 per cent, to 29,564.21 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 sunk by 1.76 per cent to 3,098.13 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 3.39 per cent, to 8,342.04 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 3.01 per cent, to 11,402.44 points.
The total market cap reached 2,186,182,335,434 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 5,208,457,013 Egyptian pounds, and 143,392,431 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Arabs were net buyers with a total of 5,351,849,443 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops shares climbed by 4.14 per cent, to close at 28.400 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Egyptians For Investment & Urban Development shares jumped by 3.18 per cent, to close at 0.324 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Osool ESB Securities Brokerage shares surged by 2.94 per cent, to close at the price of 1.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- Gogreen for Agricultural Investment shares declined by 11.32 per cent, to close at the price of 1.410 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Egypt for Poultry shares fell by 10.70 per cent, to trade at the price of 4.590 Egyptian pounds a share.
- South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries shares dropped by 10.05 per cent, to the purchasing price of 63.220 Egyptian pounds a share.
