EGX closes in red on Dec. 9

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday December 9, 2024. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.18 per cent, to 31,005.12 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped 0.57 per cent to 3,209.1 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 sunk by 0.62 per cent, to 8,533.73 points.

The index, EGX100 index fell by 0.49 per cent, to 11,742.74 points.

The total market cap reached 2,281,924,720,463 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 21,249,691 Egyptian pounds, and 3,527,133,120 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net buyers with 3,548,382,811 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Monday

  1. Mohandes Insurance (MOIN.CA) shares rose by 9.32 per cent, to close at the price of 23.570 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Suez Canal Bank S.A.E (CANA.CA) shares climbed by 7.74 per cent, to trade at the price of 26.850 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Canal Shipping Agencies (CSAG.CA) shares jumped by 7.61 per cent, to the purchasing price of 29.700 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Monday

  1. Atlas For Investment and Food Industries (AIFI.CA) shares fell by 13.22 per cent, to close at 1.050 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC (EASB.CA) shares declined by 6.60 per cent, to close at 4.390 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Elsaeed Contracting& Real Estate Investment Company SCCD (UEGC.CA) shares dropped by 5.34 per cent, to close at the price of 0.974 Egyptian pounds a share.
