Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed on a green note on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 1.49 per cent, to 30,443.82 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 1.40 to 3,163.9 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 jumped by 1.94, to 8,565.71 points.
The index, EGX100 index soared by 2.01 per cent, to 11,735.55 points.
The total market cap reached 2,241,528,489,826 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 131,926,177 Egyptian pounds, and 69,696,940 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Arabs were net sellers with a total of 201,623,117 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
- Cairo Educational Services shares rose by 10.60 per cent, to close at the price of 32.020 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Misr National Steel – Ataqa shares climbed by 8.92 per cent, to trade at the price of 5.740 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Emaar Misr for Development shares jumped by 6.93 per cent, to the purchasing price of 7.410 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- Development & Engineering Consultants shares fell by 10.17 per cent, to close at 50.260 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Gogreen for Agricultural Investment shares declined by 7.79 per cent, to close at 1.420 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops shares dropped by 4.67 per cent, to close at the price of 25.740 Egyptian pounds a share.
