China has expressed strong interest in welcoming more Spanish companies to its vast market, encouraging their participation in the country’s economic growth and development, Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares on Saturday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Wang highlighted opportunities for Spanish firms to collaborate in key sectors such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, according to a statement from China’s foreign ministry.
“China and Spain should work together to uphold multilateralism, promote democratisation in international relations, build broad international consensus and advance equal and orderly multipolarisation,” Wang said.
