During Tuesday’s midday, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted humble gains of EGP 38 million.
The capital market has amounted to EGP 361.634 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 1:45 p.m. Cairo time (11:45 GMT) during Tuesday’s midday session.
The EGX indices were mixed during the midday session.
Benchmark EGX30 inched up by 0.48% to 5300.27 p; while EGX20 rose by 0.94% to 6216.33 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 fell by 0.40% to 451.24 p. Price index EGX100 dropped by 0.20% to 754.2 p.
During Tuesday’s midday session, the trading volume has reached 79.386 million securities worth EGP 261.268 million, exchanged through 12.753 transactions.
This was after trading in 158 listed securities; 54 declined, 59 advanced; while 45 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs’ buying transactions backed EGX midday gains as they were net buyers seizing 80.28% and 9.62% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 11.435 million and EGP 6.306 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 10.1% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 17.742 million excluding the deals.
