During Tuesday midday session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains of around EGP 2.2 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 349.743 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 12:46 p.m. Cairo time (10:46 GMT).
The EGX indices were in green during midday session.
The main index, EGX30 edged up by 0.76% to 5014.08 p. EGX20 inched higher by 0.66% to 5734.72 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rose by 0.62% to 438.95 p. Price index EGX100 went up by 0.74% to 739.87 p.
This was after trading in 132 listed securities; 19 declined, 69 advanced; while 44 keeping their previous levels.
The Egyptians and Arabs’ midday buying deals have backed EGX’s rise as they were net buyers seizing 66.85% and 2.44% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 77.840 million and EGP 2.418 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 30.71% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 80.259 million excluding the deals.
