Egypt Allocates $29.7 billion for Wages in New Budget – Minister

Egypt’s Finance Ministry plans to allocate nearly EGP 207 billion (US$29.7 billion) from the state’s new draft budget for the FY2014/15, according to Minister Hany Qady.

The Egyptian minister told reporters on Sunday that the increase in allocations for wages reached EGP 100 billion in 3 years, describing it as a ‘huge leap’.
