Egyptian Minister Suggests Logistically Links Suez Canal with 3 African Countries

Khaled Hanafi, Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade called to link Suez Canal with logistic and service axes in Djibouti, Ethiopia and South Sudan in order to increase the economic movements and activities seeking to input from a variety of sources for large markets within and outside the African continent.

Hanafi added in a keynote speech at Joint AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA and Economic Development will be holding on 25 to 30 March 2014 in Abuja, Nigeria that it is necessary to create growth poles to raise growth rates in African countries and logistics centers to ensure the achievement of the values.

Egypt makes great strides for applying information technology so as to attain social justice such as basing on smart cards in the distribution of supported supplies.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and Liberian President Ellen Johnson asserted that the growth rates of Africa Continent reached 5% and it is higher than the average rate of global rates, noting that some countries hit more than 10% .
