Trade exchange between Egypt and France is expecting a 20 percent rise by the end of this year, French ambassador to Cairo André Parant announced Tuesday.
Parant told Amwal Al Ghad that the size of bilateral trade between Egypt and France recorded €2.6 billion in 2014. France’s exports to Egypt are estimated at €1.6 billion, while Egypt exports to France registered €1 billion approximately.
Additionally, the ambassador said the two countries’ economic relations are standing on solid grounds. France’s investments in Egypt recorded €3.5 billion, involving 100 companies operating in the North African country in various fields such as Mobinil and Lafarge.
