Egypt approves private free zone for cruise terminals

Egypt’s Cabinet has issued Decision No. 51 of 2025 approving the establishment of a private free zone under the name Misr International for Cruise Terminals Management Co. (S.A.E) on a total area of 21,220.27 square metres across three locations. The decision was published in the Official Gazette on Thursday.

The first location is within the customs area of Safaga Seaport, spanning 6,657.60 square metres. It includes the International Departure Hall building with an area of 3,328.80 square metres on a ground floor only basis.
