Egypt, Aramco explore expanded collaboration to enhance energy sector
Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawy discussed with Amin H. Nasser, President and CEO of Aramco, on Monday ways to deepen the strategic partnership between Aramco and Egyptian oil companies.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the IKTVA Forum & Exhibition in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and was attended by senior officials, including Yasser Mufti, Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Downstream Products and Customers, and Moataz Atef, Assistant Minister for the Minister’s Office.
Minister Badawy outlined Egypt’s comprehensive energy strategy, focused on overcoming global challenges through six key pillars. He highlighted the country’s investment opportunities in the energy sector and the government’s efforts to create an attractive environment for investment across the sector’s value chain.
The two sides agreed on the importance of expanding cooperation and joint ventures between Aramco and Egyptian companies. The discussions emphasized increasing production, maximising the added value of Egypt’s resources, and improving the country’s energy infrastructure.
