Egypt Cabinet sets sugar prices for ’25 season

Egypt’s Cabinet approved on Thursday new prices for sugarcane and sugar beet for the 2025 season, setting the rate at 2,500 Egyptian pound per ton for sugarcane and 2,400 pound per ton for sugar beet.

This move aims to boost local production and lessen reliance on foreign sugar.
