Egypt Cabinet to review amendments to capital market law in days: minister

Egypt’s Cabinet is set to review the proposed amendments to the Capital Market Law for approval in the coming few days, minister of investment Dalia Khorshed said Saturday.

Minister Khorshed further said the amendments include modification of regulations for Movable Guarantees Act as well as Law No. 10 of 1981 for Insurance Supervision and Control in Egypt.

The amendments also include adding new financial instruments through these amendments, such as sukuk as well as activating futures exchange market, and modifications of regulations for purchases and acquisition offers to protect minority rights.
